With septemer 2018 RTC d.o.o. started the project, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, 3H Battery. The goal of the project is to develop a 3H battery that provides high current power (up to a few minutes, high output power up to 50C) while simultaneously packing high energy density of the battery pack (long range, over 175Wh / kg), which will after development be available on market for selected segments and further development (different configurations depending on market requirements for expanding usability).
Consequently, increasing the competitiveness of electric vehicles directly with current designs on internal combustion engines (which with current existing batteries is not possible) and thus envisaged a strong expansion of the electric vehicle market even in extreme sports.
Within these frameworks, the operational objectives are as follows:
- The goal is to develop a 3H battery that will fully meet the requirements for intended use in the e-motor for motocross.
- Realization of an innovative idea, as 3 innovations will be integrated into the 3H battery, which represents a novelty on the market today.
- Enhancing of development potential of participating companies – RTCs and EMTs through collaboration with FERI.
- Strengthening the development capacities of companies by hiring new researchers
The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
